Carbon Footprints Learning CirclesThis is a featured page

The Assignment - Carbon Footprints Project
  • Each learning circle will be a country without borders.
  • Students will communicate and collaborate with each other to reduce their carbon footprint
  • Communication will take place asynchronously via a social network designed by Zerofootprint
  • Each month students will report using a different medium (prose, art, photography, video, etc)
  • Synchronous communication will include monthly web conferencing
  • Representatives from major ecosystems throughout the world, such as Reef HQ at the Great Barrier Reef, will communicate with students using the social network and web/video conferencing tools.
  • On Earth Day 2009, all learning circles will "meet" during a 24 hour, around the world web/video conference in order to celebrate their achievements. The aggregate total of the reduction in CO2 emissions from all classes worldwide will be released at this time.
