Each learning circle will be a country without borders. Students will communicate and collaborate with each other to reduce their carbon footprint Communication will take place asynchronously via a social network designed by Zerofootprint Each month students will report using a different medium (prose, art, photography, video, etc) Synchronous communication will include monthly web conferencing Representatives from major ecosystems throughout the world, such as Reef HQ at the Great Barrier Reef, will communicate with students using the social network and web/video conferencing tools. On Earth Day 2009, all learning circles will "meet" during a 24 hour, around the world web/video conference in order to celebrate their achievements. The aggregate total of the reduction in CO2 emissions from all classes worldwide will be released at this time.
